To provide leadership for our community, to prevent unlawful activity, ensure individual rights, and promote a safe and secure environment.
The Sheriff's Office was established according to the Michigan Constitution which provides that the Sheriff will be elected every four years on a partisan basis. The Sheriff's duties include the administration of the County Jail as well as operating other law enforcement related programs.

The Newaygo County Sheriff's Office is currently offering a Prescription Drug Take Back Program and a Law Enforcement Camp Program in Newaygo County.
