Welcome to Newaygo County Parks.  The Newaygo County Parks System includes a marina and four county parks with day use and camping opportunities.  To enhance your outdoor experience we are surrounded by the World Class Muskegon River, North Country National Scenic Trail, 4,000 acre Hardy Pond and the 538,000 acre Manistee National Forest.

Newaygo County Parks Administration office is now taking reservations for seasonal campsites, and will be taking reservations for nightly campsites starting January 3rd, for the 2013 camping and boating seasons. Reservations for each park will be taken at the Parks Administration office until the park opens; then reservations may be made at the individual park location.

For 2013, check out the camping cabins and premium full service (50 amp electric, water, and sewer) pull through campsites, all with beautiful lake views.

John Graves Lodge

Newaygo County Parks and its recreation partner the Newaygo Community Recreation Authority are happy to once again offer the historic John Graves Lodge for group rental.

New Camping Cabins!

These rustic, but cozy cabins fit 6 people. Each cabin features 2 bedrooms, each with a bunk bed, and a futon in the main area. Mini fridge, table, and electricity, all on a large lot close to bathrooms/showers, boat launch, and with a beautiful view of Hardy Pond.

Host Campers Needed
Do you enjoy camping and helping people?  The Newaygo County Park and Recreation Department is seeking applications from those interested in becoming host campers.  Host campers may volunteer on a monthly or seasonal basis.

Host campers would be provided a campsite at the campground they are assigned.  They would assist the manager in a variety of duties that may include providing information to others, organizing camper activities, performing campground maintenance, patrolling the campground/park, etc.

If you are interested in becoming a Host camper call 231-652-9298.
